River Thames trips from Chiswick Pier

Time: 10:30 to 13:30 every Sunday.

Where: The Pier House, Corney Reach Way, London W4 2UG.

Cost:

Members £5 adults / £4 under-18s and concessions
Non-members £10

We advise that you arrive between 10 -10:30am so that we can process your paperwork, assign you equipment so you are ready for the 11:00am start.
The sessions are open for members and the general public who are interested in trying the sport of canoeing or finding a Canoe club.
These sessions are instructor led and oriented towards enjoying the river and improving skills and fitness. The club has all necessary equipment, so all you need to bring are synthetic clothes to get wet in (no cotton or jeans) and dry clothes to put on afterwards.
There are toilets and hot showers available in Chiswick Pier House.

In the winter, you will need to bring warm clothes - fleece or other thermals - and spare clothes in case of capsize. In the Summer Light clothes, eg shorts and t shirt should be fine. Shoes must be worn for both Winter and Summer Paddle sessions. If you wish to wear a spray deck, please attend one pool session for a spray deck test by one of our instructors.

Pool Session at Gurnell Leisure Centre

Time: 21:00 to 22:15 every Thursday.

Where: Gurnell Pool Ruislip Road East, Ealing, London W13 0AL Tel: 020 8998 3241

Cost: CPCC members £5, Non CPCC members £6. CPCC Coaches £2, Non CPCC Coaches £3.

All abilities are catered for and people normally work in small groups learning new skills and perfecting everything from beginning to more advanced techniques. The pool sessions are highly recommended, and act as a great starting point for beginners, training them before they join us on the regular Sunday sessions on the river.

When you come along to pool sessions, please remember that all the coaches and helpers involved are volunteers. It is your responsibility to help take equipment out and particularly to put equipment away. If you leave early, please put away the equipment you have used or at least ask one of the coaches/helpers if anything needs putting away.

For more information contact Essie on 07969513472 or see our Session Guidelines.
